During the court session, One of the contestant called Robin got punishment as frog jumping in the means of judicial misconduct. Exhibiting his middle finger during the punishment triggered both of the judges, Riyas and Vinay which lead to a lot of bombarding in the court room. After the task, Vinay criticized another contestant, called Suchitra, for not intervening in what ever happened throughout the entire task. Later, during the conversation, he made a remark being completely misogynistic and sexist, which was later criticized by Riyaz.
But instead of overriding his argument, he insulted or dismissed Riyaz's statement by saying.
ഒന്ന് മിണ്ടാർന്നേടാ അവിടന്ന്
- വിനയ് മാധവ്
Here's an easy way to counter an argument by insulting or rejecting someone's argument with derogatory language. No matter how misogynistic or sexist your comments are, you will be praised and followed by the entire majority of viewers. Because this is our noble society that celebrates rather than opposing such misogynistic and gender-specific references. But, I have nothing to do with what he says on the show, because that how he is. But what really bothers me is that, no one other than Riyaz even tried to condemn what he said on the show. There were a lot of women, who should have really get offended by what he said. But everyone wants a safe play. There’s no wonder he got the audacity to make such a comment on national television.
We all know how media influences people negatively. So, under such circumstances the content makers and the contestants must be loyal to the society in such a way in which people do not get a negative impact of what they propagate on the show. Here, producers and contestants are either ignorant or deliberately allowing such references to spread without being condemned at the right time. This is not just an example of when such incidents occur. Riyaz has been the victim of a number of personal attacks and abuses in the name of his gender expression and behavioral patterns. Although they know that judging someone by their sex, appearance, gender expressions, behavior, and disabilities are inhumane, but they kept doing it again and again.
Still, I don’t really understand the double standards of show makers and presenters who are always upset by the phrases like "WTF", but not by comments like this. Don't they think these also should be condemned.
It must be permissible to engage in mutual verbal arguments with the opposition, but the truth is that I have not yet been able to understand the basis on which one person here is called a "Vazha" and all. This is not something to be celebrated, and it is hoped that Big Boss will take action against it in a fundamentally humane way. Riyaz's behavior may seem irritating to some, because it is part of the game. But that is not a license to use such phrases and personal attack against him.
